Regular check-ups are important to make sure that no new problems have developed since your last visit. During a regular check-up a full examination and oral cancer screening will take place where we will check your teeth and gums for any signs of new problems that may have developed. If needed, radiographs/X-rays may need to be made. If there is a problem, we would make recommendations suited to your specific needs.
Ankeny Dental Center follows the American Dental Association recommendations that patients should have a minimum of two visits per year to their dentist. This will allow preventive care and education, early detection and treatment, and assessment of your home care routine.
